Undergraduate Program of Economics of Islam, FEB Unair, on Thursday sd Saturday, date 1 – 3 September 2016 conducting Quality Assurance and Quality Assurance Workshop. The workshop was held in Kampung Djawi, Wonosalam, Jombang, East Java, and attended by all lecturers and education staff of Department of Islamic Economics FEB Unair. Activity Quality Assurance Workshop and Learning is a routine agenda at the beginning of each semester which is conducted by Department of Islamic Economics, Department of Islamic Economics FEB Unair. The purpose of the workshop is to conduct a joint evaluation process of the learning process, and the process of preparing and improving the learning process for the semester of Gasal Academic Year 2016/2017.
“The Quality Assurance and Learning Workshop of this semester is slightly different from the previous semester workshop which focuses on the process of curriculum redesign preparation and implementation of quality assurance system in learning in accordance with the National Higher Education Standard (SNPT-DIKTI),” explained Noven Suprayogi, Kapgri S1 Ekonomi Islam FEB Unair. The workshop activity begins with materials on the General Implementation Framework of Quality Assurance System of Airlangga Integrated Management System (AIMS) in the Learning Process delivered by Prof. Nunuk Dyah Retno Lastuti and Helmy Yusuf, Ph.D from Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) Airlangga University. Then proceed with new curriculum preparation materials based on the National Education Curriculum Development Guidance (KNPT) of Higher Education delivered by Dr. Zainal Fanani, one of the curriculum development team of Accounting Department FEB Unair. “We must immediately start-up our system, make improvements, and look for new innovations in the process of quality assurance and learning, because since there is no R & D Ministerial Decree No. 44 of 2015 then there are many quality lesson documents that we must prepare, ranging from preparing Semester Learning Plan (RPS), Task Plan, up to the assessment rubric, and our target of the academic year 2017/2018 we will start a new system with a new standardized curriculum SNPT of Higher Education “said Noven Suprayogi.
The second day was a discussion about the preparation of Semester Learning Plan (RPS), which was guided directly by Prof. Djoko Agus P, Head of Educational Research and Development Institute (LP3) of Airlangga University. On the second day after obtaining materials about RPS and Task Design and Assessment Rubric, the participants were directly assisted by Prof. Djoko Agus P to draft the RPS, Task Design and Assessment Rubric until the afternoon, and at night followed by a discussion among the teaching team to prepare learning materials for the 2016/2017 Gasal semester lecture which will take place on Monday 5 September 2016.
At the time of the workshop also conducted discussion of accreditation visitation result and follow up plan that will be done to make the process of change and improvement in the future. “Based on the results of accreditation visitation in August, then there are 5 points that we need to improve the documentation system, quality assurance system, learning process, lecturer quality, and the quality of students and graduates” explains Noven Suprayogi further. The process of curriculum redesign that will be implemented by Prodi S1 Islamic Economics is the most important part to make fundamental improvements in the future. “Currently we are trying to integrate the process of research and community service conducted by lecturers with the process of learning in the classroom, in terms of learning materials class is the result of research and community service lecturers so that learning will be contextual and always updated” explained Raditya Sukmana, Chairman of the Department Sharia Economics FEB Unair.
The last day is filled with team building training by Kampung Djawi team that is in the form of games that able to build togetherness between lecturers and education staff at Department of Islamic Economics FEB Unair. “This training becomes important for us to build emotional closeness between fellow lecturers and educational staff, if emotional closeness is built it will be very easy to equate perceptions, thoughts, and steps in realizing a shared vision,” explained Dina Fitrisia Septiarini, Secretary of the Department of Islamic Economics FEB Unair . One of the interesting games for the participants is the pin ball game. “This game teaches us about honesty, teamwork in managing strategy, and fair play attitude” said Eko Fajar, one of the lecturers of Department of Economics of Syariah FEB Unair.
