Friday and Saturday, 5th and 6th of August 2016, Department of Islamic Economics FEB Unair receives 2 Assessor of National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN PT), Prof. Dr. Muslimin from UIN Alauddin, Makassar, and Dian Masitya, Ph.D from Padjadjaran University of Bandung. The arrival of the two assessors is to make the process of accreditation visitation in the S1 Program of Islamic Economics FEB Unair. Visitation of accreditation is one of the process that must be passed in order to get accreditation from BAN PT. The accreditation visit aims to validate and cross check data and evidence of data and information submitted by the Study Program through accreditation documents to BAN PT.
The arrival of the two assessors was welcomed by the Dean of FEB Unair, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, and attended by Chairman of the Quality Assurance Agency of Airlangga University, Prof. Dr. Bambang Sektiari. The welcome of the two assessors was conducted on Friday, August 5, 2016 in the Hall of Tirtodiningrat, FEB Unair, which was also attended by all managers of study programs and departments in FEB Unair, professors FEB Unair, and all lecturers of Islamic Economy S1 Program FEB Unair .
The first day of visitation is the process of checking the documents and verifying the information submitted in the accreditation document. Document checking process and verification of information at the level of Study Program conducted by assessor Dian Masyta, Ph.D, while at the level of the Faculty conducted by Prof. Dr. Muslimin. One of the forms of document checking and information verification conducted by assessors is by conducting interview process to the student of S1 Program of Islamic Economics conducted by Asesor Dian Masyita, Ph.D, also conducted interview to lecturer of Prodi S1 of Islamic Economics. In addition, visitation is also made to several facilities owned by FEB Unair starting from Sharia Bank Laboratory, FEB Unair reading room, research center, up to the lecture room owned by FEB Unair. The first day visitation process is done until 20.00 WIB.
The second day visit is an interview process with alumni and graduate users. There are about 20 alumni who are present to engage the interview process with assessors. Alumni are present in addition to working in Surabaya, some who work in Jakarta were also willing to attend to the process of interviewing with assessors. Likewise with graduate users, there are about 15 people graduated from S1 Program of Islamic Economics, both in Surabaya and outside Surabaya are willing to attend, one of them is from the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia.
The result of the visitation process for two days as a form of data verification and information on 100 items of data are grouped into 7 accreditation standards. On the second day, the assessor summarizes the results of data and information verification as well as provides some improvement inputs for the study program as a follow-up to the quality improvement of the study program in the future. The visitation report was handed over to the Study Program and Faculty at 15.00 in the Tirtodiningrat Hall FEB Unair.
The process of submitting the result of visitation was done at the closing session of the visitation activity which was attended by the whole of Dekanat FEB Unair and all the lecturers of the Prodi S1 of Islamic Economics. “Based on the results of the report given by the assessors to Prodi, we hope to get a better value than the accreditation results 5 years ago, because we have factually improved better than 5 years ago,” explained Noven Suprayogi, Chairman of Prodi S1 Islamic Economics FEB Unair. “If previously we get the value of 353, with the predicate B, and less than 8 points to 361, predicate A. With the condition 5 years ago we have not many graduates and limited resources then with more graduates, the number of lecturers, and publications then we hope earned a minimum score of 361 “revealed Noven Suprayogi.
